AT&T & Yahoo Team Up

It may not seem a big deal to the average consumer, but AT&T has teamed up with Yahoo to be the main search engine for it’s line of mobile devices. And although Yahoo is far from Googles rank in relation to amount of searches performed per month (8.5bn compared to Googles 37.1bn). This is very good news for the California based company as AT&T’s mobile device consumers will now be searching using Yahoo causing a greater need for search engine optimization for this particular search provider.

Although AT&T has been the top dog for a while it has been predicted that Verizon will take the number 1 spot in a few short months to come when it acquires Alltel.

Although this may seem irrelevant today the future of mobile devices deems this news as noteworthy due to the increased success and demand of mobile devices such as the iPhone.
